The latest survey data on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loan standards provides additional support to the recovery story, with meaningful positive implications well into 2010. While actual lending activity lags the standards data by two years, credit conditions lead business investment by nine months. Furthermore, credit spreads continue to narrow.
