Instructions for wireless access
How do I get wireless access?
For access, you will need an Internet-enabled device and a subscription to data service.
Wireless Instructions
- Bookmark http://www.smithbarney.com/ada on your Internet-enabled device. Please only bookmark this site through your carrier's website. If your carrier's website does not provide this facility, please see instructions on accessing the site below.
- Launch the web browser on the device. On most phones the Internet link is included as part of the phone's feature menu, whereas on other devices, there is a dedicated key that either activates the browser or brings the user to the web menu.
- Once the browser is launched, you will be presented with a page that provides links to a number of mobile web services. You will need to navigate to the bookmarked smithbarney.com site.
- After successfully connecting to the smithbarney.com site, you will be presented with the home page and will be presented with a menu of options.
If you are not able to bookmark the site from your carrier's website, one of the links on the homepage on most carrier menus allows you to enter a URL to any mobile web service.
- Go to http://www.smithbarney.com/ada. Notice that there are multiple characters assigned to a single numeric key. To select a particular letter, simply click on it the appropriate number of times. For example, to get the letter S, click on the "7" key four times. To enter the period, you can either click on the "1" key the appropriate number of times or click on the soft keys to get into symbol entry mode.
